Colima Ceramic Figure, Ancient West Mexico, c. 200 BC - 200 AD. An original ceramic figure depicting a standing man, with applied eyes and conical headdress. Dark red surfaces with traces of the original black painted clothing and adornments still visible. Referred to as a "gingerbread" figure, so called because of the planar profile. Intact and nicely preserved. H: 4.25" (stands 5" tall on included wood and metal stand).
