Product Description
An excellent R. Johnson Model 1836 .54 caliber flintlock pistol made in 1839 and converted to percussion shortly thereafter. Features an 8" round smooth bore barrel, walnut stock with swivel ramrod intact and still moves well. Action is tight, the hammer holds at half and full cock. The lockplate and breech stamped: "U.S. JOHNSON MIDDn CONN 1839, US, EB, P ". Extremely well-preserved, with excellent toning to the metal and wood. Total length 14 inches, and heavy!
