Coptic Ethiopia, 18th to 19th century AD. Massive silver processional cross. An ornate large silver cross, the top fashioned into an elaborate diamond-shaped cross, with the central area containing a multitude of small Latin crosses comprising a near solid matrix. The shaft is a long, conical channel. Heavy, made of very debased, low-purity silver.
