Ancient Greece. Neapolis, Campania, circa 350 BC, time of Alexander the Great! Nice silver Didrachm, set into a custom .925 silver pendant and 18-inch Italian silver chain. The front depicts the head of Athena facing left, wearing crested Athenian helmet / The back depicts a Man-headed bull standing right, head facing, winged Nike flying above, crowning its head with a wreath. Reference: BMC 50var for type. Total bezel width 27mm. Ex Los Angeles, CA private collection. Accompanied by a hand-signed certificate of authenticity which includes all the details, culture, dating, motifs/inscriptions when applicable, historical relevance, and provenance.
