Product Description

A group of 50 ancient Roman bronze coins, dating from between the reigns of emperor Augustus (27 BC-14 AD) and Theodosius I (379-395 AD). Sizes range from 10 to 27 mm in diameter. Each coin depicts the bits of the emperor on the front, with Roman gods, goddesses, or scenes on the back, Latin inscriptions around. Most with visible detail, and housed within an old leather pouch with faux gold Roman-looking appliqué (which are not ancient). Coins ex Los Angeles, CA collection.
