Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom to Late Period, c. 1570-535 BC. A stunning necklace comprised of extremely high-quality ancient multicolored faience disk beads, with a modern silver pendant depicting an elaborate, fanciful cartouche on one side and the depictions of a scarab and pharaoh's mask on the other. These are incredibly high quality ancient beads! Total length 18.25 inches. Faience was a porcelain/glass-like material revered by the ancient Egyptians which turned bright colors when fired in the kiln.
