Holy Land, Old Testament period, Middle Bronze Age, c. 1730 - 1550 BC. An excellent Judaean ceramic oil lamp. Wheel-made with rounded base and made from a pale orange-buff clay, wet-smoothed, with sides pinched to form spout and rounded lip. L: 4.5". Intact with earthen deposits and blackening around spout from much use in ancient times.
