Being offered today is a VERY RARE 1928 A $50.00 Federal Reserve “REDEEMABLE IN GOLD” St Louis series note graded by PMG (Paper Money Guaranty) in 66 Gem Uncirculated EPQ (Exceptional Paper Quality) condition.

There is only one note graded higher!! This note is very hard to find in this condition.

THE NOTE ALSO HAS THE REDDEMABLE IN GOLD STATEMENT ON THE UPPER LEFT SIDE OF THE NOTE:

The upper left of the note states:

“REDEEMABLE ON GOLD ON DEMAND AT THE US TREASURY OR ON GOLD ORLAWFUL MONEY AT ANY FEDERAL RESERVE BANK”. So, at the time you could cash the note in for gold. Pretty cool.

This note is from the St. Louis Series, which is designated by the “H” on the left side of the note. (see pics). The note carries a dark green seal (DGS) on the right side of the note.
