FAQ

Does it need to remain plugged into an electrical outlet while being used?

Yes! This is a great advantage and what separates it from other heated products. Products that use batteries only get up to 120º F and take 20 minutes to get there. HotRock gets to 175ºF in less than 5 minutes. Since foam roller users are typically in their living room or gym, they are near an outlet 95% of the time anyway. And with the extra-long 9’ power cord, you’ll never be stuck between the coffee table and the couch. We also guarantee that the cord will not get tangled up. Has this been tested and measured for emfs?

We have not tested for specific levels but they are technically very similar to any other simple electric product such as a heating pad. Since the inner and outer windings in HotRock are in opposition to each other, some cancelling out of the magnetic field does occur making it slightly less than other similar products. Everything has EMFs as you know and the only way to avoid is to live far away in the mountains and use DC power only. We feel confident that the levels are within a similar range or slightly less than heating pads.
