An early American model 1850 US Aston & Company .54 caliber percussion pistol. With brass trigger guard, grip tang, barrel band, hinged metal ram rod, and stamped hammer plate stating “Middleton CT 1850.” Smooth-bore, with beautifully preserved 8.5” iron barrel. Total pistol length 14.25”. The hammer stays at half and full cock with strong action, the metal is polished and extremely well preserved. Ex Bangor, PA collection. With custom metal stand (entire display measures 14.25”L x 2.5”W x 7.5”H). This is an antique, and not warranted safe to shoot without restoration and the aid of a skilled professional.
