This jacket showcases a Blood Chit on its back, containing a rescue message in four different languages alongside the United States flag. This message seeks aid from local civilians in the event of being injured or stranded and promises a reward for their assistance. Blood Chits were used as a form of insurance for military personnel, its origins date back to World War II and earlier conflicts.
