he 2021 Vineyard 29 Aida Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerful yet refined expression of Napa Valley Cabernet, showcasing remarkable depth, structure, and longevity. Rich and regal in color, it opens with layered aromas of red plum and black currant, followed by nuanced notes of scorched earth and fresh pencil shavings that speak directly to its estate vineyard origins. The palate is commanding and concentrated, driven by red and black fruit framed by firm, polished tannins that carry through a long, resonant finish. Built for aging, this wine is expected to evolve gracefully for two decades or more.

The Aida Estate Vineyard sits just north of the narrow “pinch” in the Napa Valley, a site long believed to be ideal for Bordeaux varietals. Its Cabernet Sauvignon provides the bold structure and backbone that define this wine, delivering both intensity and balance in every vintage.

The 2021 growing season began later than usual due to a cooler February and March, followed by beneficial spring rains and an exceptionally steady summer. Slow, even ripening allowed sugars and tannins to develop in harmony, resulting in concentrated fruit and refined structure. While yields were lower than average, quality was outstanding. Reminiscent of standout vintages like 2013 and 2016, the 2021 Aida Estate Cabernet is both compelling on release and deeply cellar worthy.
